Check that /var/zendto is owned by the www-data account and is owner
and group writeable and there should be a zendto.log and
zendto.sqlite files in there.<br>

create users as root. I can open the Zendto site
(localhost/about.php) just fine, however, the database is
never created in /var/zendto. The log file says "initial
setup of database complete", but the database is not there.
It looks like my problem is that the Zendto database is
never created. Every time I refresh the about page I get the
same message, but no actual database I checked the syslog
and apache logs, but nothing of interest was there. Any
ideas?</div>

You can get rid of the undefined index notices by adding
"& ~E_NOTICE" to the setting for error_reporting in
/etc/php5/cli/php.ini.<br>

Try to load the home page of the web site before you try
creating users. And you do then of course need to be root to
create users (but do the home page first, as that should
trigger the creation of the database with the right
ownership and permissions).<br>

I assume you're using SQLite3 as the database type.<br>
