<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">Our series of Spotlight on Careers has re-launched with our first talk on the 16<sup>th</sup> October with Rosalie Rogers from APSensing Basingstoke. Rosalie is a Maths graduate now working as a
Data Scientist. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">APsensing took a Southampton SEPnet Physics student on placement this Summer and Rosalie (from Southampton and passionate about data science ) sees mileage in having PhD placements at the company.
Rosalie has found her calling as a data scientist which she is happy to share with others.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-US">We will also be joined by Amy Hearst from VivaMOS. Amy is a Southampton Physics graduate now working at the Science Park with VivaMOS. The company is</span> an exciting technology start-up that was
spun out of Rutherford Appleton Lab (RAL) in July 2015. The novel CMOS image sensor technology was exclusively licensed to vivaMOS and enables the development and manufacture of large-scale X-ray flat panel detectors. These X-ray detectors can be used in a
variety of X-ray applications such as medical, dental, veterinary, security, and non-destructive test & inspection.
