The post holder(s) for the full-time 3 year posts will work closely with both the Turing leadership and senior leadership of Roche and will play a central part in shaping the direction of the partnership. In addition to contributing to ongoing research projects they will be provided with significant time and support to develop their own research agenda aligned to the partnerships' goals (50% FTE will be provided for this purpose).

This is a stand-out opportunity to join a prestigious, national research institute and shape its agenda at an important and exciting time in its development. Working within the partnership will give the successful candidates visibility of many facets of the pharmaceutical industry and support to develop a network of contacts in both academia and industry. Research Project Manager, AI for Science and Government (ASG) within their Programme Management Unit Directorate.
Closing date: 02 February 2022
A Research Project Manager at the Turing coordinates the implementation and delivery of advanced data science, AI and modelling research projects, and research engineering innovations in data, software and collaborative practices. This role is to coordinate and support work across the AI for Science and Government programme.
The post holder will work within the ASG programme team comprising the ASG Programme Chair, ASG Programme Director, Associate Director and the ASG Programme Manager, to ensure the delivery of the programme outputs and the achievement of the outcomes. This team is supported by a dedicated Finance Business Partner.
The post holder will work with the programme's scientific leadership, project leads, academic researchers and the other Research Project Managers who are responsible for managing ASG theme or cross-theme research, to coordinate each research project from concept to implementation; this will involve understanding the resource requirements for each project, drawing up detailed financial plans, coordinating funding applications, negotiating funding or collaboration contracts, agreeing on clear milestones for each project, ensuring that the deliverables are completed on schedule, as well as providing regular updates to the Institute's leadership on the progress of each project.
This full-time post is offered on a fixed term basis to 31st May 2023. The annual salary is £35,000-£40,000

Impact Lead

The Alan Turing Institute is seeking an Impact Lead to build a function that will support all areas of impact, evaluation and knowledge exchange, and ultimately take responsibility for the development and delivery of the Institute's plans for evaluation and impact to support the Institute's next iteration of its Science and Innovation Strategy.
The is an exciting new role for someone with strong experience in impact in the context of research and other higher education activities, and in the development of impact strategy, frameworks, assessment mechanisms and improvement plans. The Impact Lead will build and lead a small team that will support all of the Institute's directorates in delivering the Institute's impact agenda by developing the policies, process, tools and systems to support reporting, evaluation, impact and knowledge exchange.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK's national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will hold a Degree or equivalent experience, together with significant experience working in a research or higher education setting in an impact function. As well as significant experience of leading, designing and rolling out a reporting and impact framework to a new organisation.
