ESRC Explore People's Relationships with Digital Technologies - NetworkPlus Call

ESRC are looking to fund a 'NetworkPlus' looking at the relationships that people have with technology.

Full information is in the link below. Headlines:

  * The call will open in November
  * ESRC will fund one network nationally, for up to £5M
  * If we bid it would be to show leadership in the field and coordinate things nationally - this would not be £5M research funding for UoS
  * The network should be cross- and inter-disciplinary, but must be social science led, and at least 50% ESRC remit
  * Proposals will be able to involve co-investigators from business, policy, international institutions and the public sector
  * We would probably wish to include collaborators from across the UK
  * A NetworkPlus is an investment to bring people together, and identify research challenges. It would be able to:
     *   Organise events
     *   Run scoping workshops
     *   Deliver communications
     *   Support seed-corn funding

If you are interested in this call, please contact the Research Funding team in RIS (funding at soton.ac.uk<mailto:funding at soton.ac.uk>) by 12th October. Please indicate your research area/interests, and whether you would be keen to lead or support an application from UoS. If you have links to partners that may be relevant to this call please include that information. We will look to hold a meeting for interested parties in due course.
