As a successful engineer, Professor Meers works within UK government specialising in the application of AI, machine learning and data science to Defence and Security challenges. He is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for AI and data science across a business with approximately 4000 employees and a turnover of around £650 million and provides advice at the most senior levels with the Ministry of Defence.

He will join Professor Dame Wendy Hall<https://www.southampton.ac.uk/wsi/about/staff/wendy-hall.page?>, TAS Skills Director, in a discussion-style session to share their perspectives on the latest developments in Human Centred AI and Autonomous Systems.
