[Turing-Southampton] New role at the Turing - Deputy Programme Director, Urban Analytics

The Alan Turing Institute is now seeking a Deputy Programme Director, Urban Analytics who will work alongside the Director of the Urban Analytics Programme in order to further develop and deliver the strategic objectives of the programme.  The appointee will attend regular meetings between the Programme Directors and other senior officers of the Institute, and will be directly involved in the management of projects particularly within the AI for Science and Government (ASG) programme.  Urban analytics is concerned with the transformational potential of data science and AI across disciplines concerned with the social and economic organisation of cities and regions, with major impacts across for example geography, planning, transport studies, regional science and environmental studies, but with broader relevance across the social sciences, medicine, technology studies and all of the scientific disciplines concerned with advancing the theory and practice of applied data science and AI.



The role requires record of excellence in Urban Analytics obtained in an academic, government and/or industrial setting

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK's national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. They welcome external secondments for this two year fixed term contract as 0.6 FTE.
