***APOLOGIES IF YOU RECEIVE THIS MORE THAN ONCE***

Please find below details of an opportunity that I have been asked to disseminate among relevant researchers at the university. This opportunity is not limited to those with existing Turing affiliation, and if researchers can't make it to Turing for the workshop next week, that doesn't preclude involvement in a potential summer project as they will be running online discussion as well. If you do plan to get involved, I'd be grateful if you would let me know. Also, please note the deadline for expressions of interest is this Friday, 17 May.

Many thanks

Susan

Turing Collaborative research project opportunity June to September 2019

The Turing is developing a strategic relationship with Hoffmann-La Roche (Roche), a multinational healthcare company that operates worldwide under two divisions: Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics. Roche brought an interesting challenge, "Identifying and developing advanced analytics methods enabling personalised healthcare insights" to a Data Study Group in April 2019 and is now looking to fund a follow-on collaborative research project through the summer (June to September 2019).

Turing researchers with an interest in health data, survival analysis, cancer treatment, or genomics are invited to participate in helping to define the research avenues, and to commit their time to participating in the data analytics projects over the summer, focused on an electronic health records plus genomics dataset provided by Roche.

A scoping workshop will take place on Wednesday 22 May and Thursday 23 May 2019 at The Alan Turing Institute in London. While only a limited number of slots are available, the event will be embedded into structured discussion on-line - physical participation is not necessary to shape the agenda, or to commit availability over the summer.

Please express your interest in involvement, together with a brief statement of your expertise and potential contributions, via https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/RocheTuring2019/<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.smartsurvey.co.uk%2Fs%2FRocheTuring2019%2F&data=01%7C01%7C%7C46ea2b5a1e0444d4b5fe08d6d8602fbe%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0&sdata=EJfj%2Bt8l0TQ1ABxo%2BCr7B%2FvNHZSXI9HN9fYoZsJYdt4%3D&reserved=0> by Friday 17 May 2019.
