[Turing-Southampton] Announcing WSTNet Web Science Summer School 2019

We are pleased to announce that the WSTNet Web Science Summer School 2019 (WWSSS'19) will shortly be open for registrations.

This year we will be hosting the event at the Web Science Institute at the University of Southampton, UK.

Please feel free to circulate details to any students or early career researchers who may be interested in attending.

Dates               Sun 8 Sept - Fri 13 September 2019

Participants
Masters, PhD students and junior researchers from various disciplines who are interested in learning more about Web Science.

Programme

*        Presentations and discussions about the latest challenges and trends in Digital Futures, Machine Learning, Deep learning, Ethics and Regulation, Data Science and the Future of AI.

*        Interactive sessions incorporating data processing, analysis and methods, teamwork, and data visualisation.

*        A visit to the largest Data Observatory in Europe based at Imperial College London.

*        Group projects working on specific datasets, culminating in a joint presentations on the last day of the school.

*        Poster presentations and networking.
