Circulated on behalf of Seth Giddings for the attention of Computer Scientists
I am an associate professor at Winchester School of Art and I'm interested in developing research collaborations and bids with researchers under the aegis of the Turing Institute. My research addresses playful applications of digital media, mainly but not exclusively videogames. I have been particularly interested in the implications for everyday life when people (particularly children) are more and more engaging with AI through videogames NPCs, playful chatbots and robotic toys. I have added a couple of links to published work that explores this below. I would be very interested to further this line of enquiry in collaboration with computer scientists with a hands-on, creative and expert understanding of the technical make-up of AI algorithms and applications. Would anyone be interested in an informal chat about this over a cup of tea?
Kind regards
Seth
