  1.  Event: Innovative data science for Alzheimer's research:<https://www.turing.ac.uk/events/innovative-data-science-alzheimers-research> Workshop on deep and frequent phenotyping in neurodegeneration.

Date/location: 9-11 October, The Alan Turing Institute, London

Target audience: researchers involved with, or interested in working with rich and multimodal data on neurodegeneration (early career or more experienced). The participants are expected to have technical and theoretical data science expertise, practical experience with Python / R software with standard data science and statistical packages.

  1.  Opportunity: 'Save the date' for our upcoming Data Study Group<https://www.turing.ac.uk/collaborate-turing/data-study-groups>

Date/location: Applications will open at the end of September. Event takes place 10-14 December, The Alan Turing Institute, London.

Background: A Data Study Group is a week-long collaborative hackathon.  It is a fantastic opportunity for researchers to tackle real-world data science problems, engage with industry and experience working in teams in a fast-paced atmosphere here at the Turing offices. Travel, accommodation (for those not in London) and sustenance are all covered.

Target audience: PhDs, post-docs and early career researchers in fields relevant to data science and AI.
