***APOLOGIES IF YOU RECEIVE THIS MORE THAN ONCE***

Please see below a request from the Turing Institute for reviewers in the area of AI & Big Data in Anti-Doping. If you would be interested in being a reviewer, please let me know by 4pm on Thursday 13 December, so that I can pass your details to my contact at the Turing.

"With apologies for the short notice - we have received a request to put forward suggestions of experts to review research proposals in the area of AI and big data in anti-doping. We're now seeking the expertise of our university network to take part in this process. You / your colleagues would be required to review eight proposals via an online portal, by 15th January 2019. There will be a small amount of financial compensation for full completion of the reviews and further details will be circulated to the reviewers.

The topics areas include possible analytical techniques and application of AI that can identify the use of prohibited substances and/or actions suggesting attempts by athletes, members of an organisation or an organisation itself to bypass anti-doping rules. A further area would be to identify suspicious profiles that may be reflective of doping attitude with a high probability. The applications could also include the ethical implications of analysing biometric data for the purposes of making such predictions and the associated issues around this topic."

Many thanks

Susan
