the committee has decided to schedule the Wireless Society AGM on 22nd April 2021, at 18:00 via Teams.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A">I will provide a direct link in due course, and send out a reminder to all members closer to the time. I will also try to send invites via Teams.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A">At the AGM be looking to elect a new committee to run the society next year.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A">Positions that we must fill to comply with SUSU regulations are President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Our constitution also requires an Exams Secretary and Radio Licencing Officer. Several other positions that
contribute to the general management of the society are available.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A">I know that this year due to COVID we have not been able to provide the kind of activities that we have been able to do in previous years and as such some of you may not know exactly what sort of things the
society typically does, may not have done much radio operating, or know what each of the committee positions entails. Put simply, the committee’s role is to keep the society running smoothly, so if you think you might be able to help, please consider nominating
yourself for a committee position. The only requirements for the main three positions are that you are a member of the society, and a full member of the union.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A">This year the Union will permit “Associate” committee members which will allow recent alumni to hold positions, but this does require them to hold Associate union membership, and should only be done as a last
resort.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin:0cm"><span style="color:#0E101A">To nominate yourself, just send me a message, by email or via Teams. Alternatively, you can nominate yourself during the AGM meeting, though, it would be nice to know in advance.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
