Dear All,

I know that most members will have already been informed but for the benefit of those who may not have yet heard, it is with great sadness that I regret to inform you that our friend and secretary, Kajetan Champlewski, passed away last week.
I know many will be shocked by this sudden loss, and our hearts go out the everyone who will be personally affected by this. He will be sorely missed by us all. If anyone feels the need to talk about this, there are members of the society who are willing to lend an ear.

For members who remain part of the University, there are a number of key services provided that you can fall upon during these difficult times. Due to the current lockdown and remote working, I have been advised that the use of the email addresses should be used in the first instance.

Further to this, some of Kajetan’s close friends are collecting stories, pictures and memories of our much-missed friend to make a place for all who knew him to remember him by. They will also be creating a physical book to send to Kajetan’s family to help them through their loss and give an insight into Kajetan’s life after he left to go to university.
