[suws-members] GB75GF special event station: D-day landings 75th anniversary

This Thursday 6th June is the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. To commemorate the event, SUWS and the Southampton Amateur Radio Club will be jointly running a special event station, callsign GB75GF. Location will be on the grass outside building 40 and the staff club. Intended operating hours will be from around 7am until late, depending upon conditions and how busy the bands are. Other special event stations will operating from other locations along the south coast, so it is expected there will be plenty of activity on the air, from HF to UHF.


Everybody is welcome to come along and get involved. The current weather report suggests that it will be sunny intervals all day, so what better way to relax after exams than to operate radios in the sunshine? :)
