[suws-members] SUWS AGM 1/3/2018

Hi all,

We will be having our AGM in the meeting on 1/3/2018. It will start at
around 18:50 to allow more time for people to arrive, and to allow time
for the regular meeting.

If you would like to run for a committee position then please email
myself or committee at suws.org.uk beforehand, or nominate yourself on the
day. The available positions are:

Officers:

* President: Oversees the running of the society, talks to SUSU

* Treasurer: Maintains the club's bank account and budgets

* Secretary: Takes minutes at meetings and sends the weekly emails

* Licensing Officer: Named holder of the G3KMI callsign

Non-Officers:

* Exams Secretary: Organises exams and their associated paperwork with
the RSGB and IVARC

* Social Secretary: Ensures that the Crown is booked every week,
organises the Christmas meal and socials such as trips to the Beer Festival

* SOWN Network Manager: Oversees the SOWN servers, internal network, and
remote deployments and liaises with iSolutions and JISC

* Equipment and Facilities Secretary: Oversees the SUWS equipment
inventory and maintenance thereof and liaises with the other users of Cage 9

* Webmaster: Maintains the various web resources

* Communications Secretary: Manages the club Twitter account and
oversees the writing of terms Wordpress posts

* Committee Position Without Portfolio: Not always needed; if there are
not enough students in particular roles to satisfy SUSU regulations then
this position exists to artificially insert an additional student, with
a particular commitment to having no responsibilities whatsoever for the
committee
