[suws-members] HF Yagi Refurbishment Workshop

Hi all,

As the replacement parts have now arrived for the HF Yagi, we thought
this Sunday (19th Novemeber) would be a good opportunity to assemble
the complete Yagi for the first time to make sure it all fits together
and there are no parts missing.

Anyway, the plan is to meet up at 11am in the Level 3 Common Room in
Mountbatten (53/3028).  There is a wiki page for this workshop at:

The plan will be to collect all the parts as some are in our
Mountbatten cupboard outside the Common Room and some are in Cage 9 in
SUSU.  We will do most of the assembly in the Common room but we may
need to do the last part outside on the wooden deck areas.

If people have private projects they want to work on they can bring
them along as well.  The plan is for the workshop to end at 5pm.  So
unless we have some rather serious issues, I would hope we would have
been able to assemble, test and dissemble the Yagi well before then. If
we do manage that, there are some other secondary tasks like Wi-Fi
testing SOWN Zepler.
