Hi everyone,

If you're planning on taking a foundation licence exam on the 24th November, you need to complete the practical assessments before this, otherwise you won't be able to take the written exam.

Here's a reminder of the practical assessments. If you still need to complete any with an assessor, please come along to the workshop tomorrow so that we can work through as many as possible.


  *   VHF contact
     *   Tune to a voice and a data signal
     *   Use of squelch, frequency and audio gain settings
     *   Make a CQ call
     *   Change of frequency

  *   HF contact
     *   Make a CQ call
     *   Tune to an SSB voice signal and a Morse code signal
     *   Exchange of signal report
     *   Use of frequency, clarifier, audio gain, RF gain, microphone gain
     *   Use of antenna tuner

  *   Other
     *   Correct connection of a radio
     *   VHF dipole tuning
     *   Morse code
