Hi all,

This week we're doing something different, as an experiment. Hopefully
it'll be relatively successful.

It is a doing day, and the main thing to get done is people's practical
work for licence exams.

However, we will also be setting up a game of Artemis to be played
throughout the two hours. Artemis is a multiplayer cooperative video
game in which you play the part of a Starship bridge crew, with a
captain without a computer coordinating things and giving orders. We
have the networking gear and a computer-controlled Red Alert light, and
I suspect there will be enough computers to produce one bridge. There
won't be enough stations for everyone to be playing at once, so some
people can play while others do licence exam practical work or other
activities. Games are often quite short so there will be plenty of
chances for people to swap in and out of play.

We will be visiting The Crown Inn as usual at 8pm.
