[suws-members] [G3KMI] G3KMI **OPERATING EVENING** 2015-10-15T18:00 @ Grass outside SUSU redbrick

Hi all,

The Southampton University Wireless Society (SUWS) is having an
introductory outing/operating evening this Thursday.

Existing members, if they are available, should meet at the grass
outside the SUSU Redbrick at around 17:30 to allow for getting kit out
of the cage and starting the setup. We should have enough existing
members who are able to come to this that we'll at least have our kit
ready by 18:00. (I will try to come to this but I have a lecture
immediately before that ends at approximately 17:30 so I might be a few
minutes late; don't wait for me). New members can then turn up in the
same place, the grass outside the SUSU redbrick, at 18:00.

We need from the cage the FT-920, Graeme's End-fed Zepp, the red box,
the RUB currently filled with paperwork etc. (for the logbook), Morse's
batteries and table (we probably don't need the inverter).

We are hopefully expecting SUSU TV to turn up, film us a bit and
interview some people on our committee.

We will be pubbing at The Crown afterwards, but it will be later than
usual to allow for the outing running longer than a usual meeting.
