Hi everyone,
This message is for exam candidates. If you have not already done so, I urge you to read through the course textbook and take at least one practice paper, as linked to on the wiki pages:
https://www.suws.org.uk/wiki/Foundation_Syllabus
https://www.suws.org.uk/wiki/Intermediate_Syllabus
https://www.suws.org.uk/wiki/Advanced_Syllabus
Just a reminder as to what you need to complete for your practical sessions (full details on the wiki pages, so please double check!):
Foundation
* VHF operation
* HF operation and tuning
* Morse code
* VHF antenna adjustment
Intermediate:
* Construct VFO
* Test/calibrate VFO
* Solder a coaxial cable
* Wire a UK mains plug
If you've still to complete any of the above, please aim to come along to the meeting today so that we can get through as much as possible. Note that Darren will be announcing the QSL card competition, so any noisy construction/practical shall be paused until this has happened. Operation of kit may be conducted in another room, as to avoid disturbing the regular meeting.
If you can't come along today, please let me know by email. I shall again be around in ECS this weekend to provide kit for practical sessions if need be.
73s,
Henry M0HWY
