Hi everyone,
Just a reminder: today is the application deadline for those who want to take an exam on the 7th December. I have the following names down for exams:
Foundation:
* Christopher De Bank
* Cori Haws
* Thomas Kelly
* David Young
* David Elcock
* Piotr Jamroz
* Robert Gower
* Christopher Tacon
* Luis Arenas Martinez
Intermediate:
* Andrew Barrett-Sprot
* Frederick Nash
* Joshua Curry
* Raphael Sikorski
* Laurie Kirkcaldy
* Arihant Kuba
Advanced:
* George Brown
* John Fisher
* Sean Quinn
* Arthur Fabre
* Nicolas Wong
If your name is not on that list and you want to take an exam, you must contact me at hk1g10 at soton.ac.uk by the end of today, otherwise you will not be able to take your exam.
Also, some people have requested that they take their exam earlier. If you are taking a foundation exam and would like to start at 17:45 instead of 19:00, please also contact me and I can move you onto the 17:45 exam. If you do not contact me, I will assume that you are happy with a 19:00 start. Because of how the timings work out, only foundation can take the exam earlier, sorry!
Exam times:
Foundation 1745-1840
Foundation 1900-1955
Intermediate 1900-2025
Advanced 1900-2100
Exam location:
Building 35/1005 lecture theatre.
Please make a note of this date, time and location. If you don't know where building 35 is then please look it up before hand using a campus map. It's very important to get the exams started at the correct time. I will send out emails closer to the time about what you need for the exam. Be sure to revise in the mean time!
Regarding foundation and intermediate practicals, this Thursday is a regular meeting, however I shall be bringing along equipment for practicals to continue. Again, if you're doing soldering and own a soldering iron or tool kit please bring this along. If you have access to the Zepler level 2 labs, I highly recommend you go along to these on Wednesday afternoon to try and complete and test your VFO.
Regards,
Henry
