Hi All.
As a result of this workshop we have created a task list on the github to track the remaining tasks.
Feel free to take a look thought the tasks and see if you can help with any of them.
You should still be able to comment on tasks if you not a member of the organisation on github, but let us know you guithub username and we will add you to the organisation if you want.
The tasks have been tagged with labels to make it easier to find tasks you can do, the main tags are listed below.
Southampton: these tasks require people in Southampton to do
Investigation: these tasks require some investigation to be carried out
Discussion: these tasks require a discussion about what to do, either in person or on the issue comments.
Purchasing: these tasks require buying something and/or working out what to buy from where.
On the wiki we have added a section under kit for orders that are in progress but haven't been placed yet if you can find items from those suppliers then that will save us on delivery costs. (obviously if another supplier is cheaper with deliver included then open a new order with them).
Tyler

Subject: [suws-members] Remaining prep work for SUSU Antenna Array
Hi All,
As some of you may be aware, Tyler and I had a meeting with the SUSU
VPDCI (Vice President for Democracy and Creative industries?) and it
looks things might get moving again with deploying our antenna array on
the side of the West Building (i.e. above the Stags loooking over the
red brick concourse).
Anyway, we still have a fair chunk of things to do so that we can hand
over to Estates and Facilities something they can put up on the
building. Tyler and I are planning to meet on Sunday at 2pm (until
4-5pm) to look at what we still need to spec out and order and what more
hands on tasks need to be done. If you are around in Southampton and
free to help, then please come along. We will be meeting in the
Building 32 Coffee Room (at 2pm on Sunday). If you are coming and don't
have access to B32 then tell us before you leave home on IRC and we can
make sure someone is at the North end (nearer Burgess Road) door (of
B32) at the time you expect to arrive.
The plan for Sunday is to spec out all the remaining parts we need in
sufficient detail that anyone should be able to look at the spec and the
see if they can find the item online. For those of you no longer in
Southampton and at a bit of a loose end, it would be useful if when we
send round the list (probably a link to a wiki page) that you could go
and some hunting around on the web to find a supplier that sells the
various items we still need. We will send more details about how to go
about this to ensure multiple people don't spend their time looking for
the same thing or we end up buying stuff from a dozen of different
suppliers, when we could get it all from 2-3 suppliers and save money on
delivery costs.
Regards
David Newman
