Hi All,
This weekend I'm hosting a Hack Weekend for 'UKHASnet', a hobby sensor
network based around cheap FSK 868MHz RF Modules, a human-readable
telemetry format, and simple APRS-style repeating.
More info: https://www.ukhas.net/
There's about 10 of us who'll be building buoy-nodes in Zepler CLS on
Saturday, with the plan of deploying from Calshot Pier into the outgoing
tide of the Solent on Sunday morning, with a couple of floating gateways
to uplink data back to the internet, allowing us to watch the drift of
the flotilla, as well as tracking surface temperature, turbulence, and
other parameters depending on what other sensors we can stick on!
Anybody who wants to find out more, or just pop in and see what we're up
to is very welcome, we should be in CLS from about 1000-1030 on Saturday
morning.
Also drop by our irc channel, #ukhasnet on freenode.
73s,
Phil
