Hi All
At Monday's meeting we will be joined by our new EPSRC Programme Grant Manager, Lisa Coles and also her predecessor, Diane Howard (who attended our All-Hands Meeting in June, along with the Advisory Board). They will be meeting with Nigel before our meeting starts at 3.30pm and will then stay for the first 30 minutes of our meeting, departing at 4pm. Nigel has requested a good turn-out for this meeting, please, so if you are unable to attend please let me know in advance.
I'd like to ensure that we start promptly at 3.30pm, so if anyone wishes to Skype in, please let me, Max and Dan know ahead of the meeting and be ready at around 3.20pm to be Skyped in. I have booked out the Boardroom 4073 from 3pm.
The agenda is below:
1. Window on the Web (all major people involved in this to show their particular visualisations)
2. Presentation by Tom Cairns on his PhD research topic
3. Major science questions
4. Publications update and status
At 4.30pm we will be joined by David Willox and Simon Morice from ICM Reporting, who have been invited to provide some training on using your Smartphones to take films. They will give an introduction to this and then ask people to break into teams of two in order to film one another and then edit the film. The aim, by the end of an hour's session (note we will be finishing at 5.30pm), is to be able to produce a 4 question interview. David and Simon have asked that ahead of the meeting that you download Voddio (which is free) onto your phones.
Many thanks
Susan
