Dear WAIS,

On Monday we will be having a guest visit from a PhD student at UCI (University of California, Irvine), Siripen Pongpaichet.

We have invited Siripen to give an introduction to EventShop, which is a real-time, event-based processing engine. UCI will be working closely with us on the Web Observatory project in the future and we thought it would be an idea opportunity to see the research they are currently involved in. The talk will be given in the coffee room (B32, level 4) at 12:30. Although it is the academic ECS away day, it would be great if we have a good turnout of those available in the labs.
