[Sociam-soton] News of shooting at MIT CSAIL

Dear colleageus,

Just thought you would like to know as MIT CSAIL is either a current
or second home to a few of us ---

There was a fatal shooting right outside the main entrance of the MIT
Stata Center tonight at approximately 10:48pm EST.  As of 11:48pm the
shooter is still on the run somewhere on campus, MIT is in a state of
lockdown and MIT CSAIL faculty members are being urged to check with
their students to make sure everyone is safe.

Boston District Attorney announced that the police officer responding
to the scene has died.  Additional injuries have been reported.

I hope Tim is not around MIT this week. It has been a bad week for Boston.
