Hi,
I remember that we had our discussion of the crime data testbed at the
Sociam meeting last week without a selfless (or even a selfish) note-taker.
Just to summarise the conclusion points, as I recall there were three
potential interesting ways forward that we identified.
1. Looking at specific problems to do with definitions, creation, use and
interpretation of data about Anti-Social Behaviour, which is not technically
a crime but is a policing issue.
2. Contributing to the Forum for Innovation in Crime Prevention's effort to
study and innovate to prevent Theft From the Person. One problem here is
that we are not driving this agenda.
3. Looking at specific uses of information and devices within an
organisation - most obviously either frontline police, or the coordinate
across various agencies with responsibilities for policing, justice or
related areas.
Best
Kieron
