An alternative view might come from the use of chat rooms such as
http://www.erowid.org. These are used by those using recreational drugs
and legal highs (Novel Psychoactive Substances). As you may know and
these chat rooms are one of the only ways of getting information on the
likely side effects of NPS. The alternative being how social machines
might be used to avoid harm in uncertain situations, or even to cause
harm - which links to discussions I have had with our own scientific
team looking at internet related suicide.
Hope that brightens up your Tuesday morning!!!
