It is a chunk of the Roman town - with a lovely bit of 19th century railway architecture thrown in. The site is reasonably low key and small scale. However, their previous evaluation did reveal Roman deposits and demolished Roman structures. They expect quite a bit of late 19th century railway truncation on the site.

They will be entering data onto ARK after the excavation, rather than on site. They will have six field staff. Finds processing is more of a flexible thing. If they have time/ability they will start finds washing on site. However, they generally carry out finds processing after the fieldwork. If the project was longer term, we would process as we go. But as we expect to be off site within four to five weeks we would aim to process the finds post excavation.

They are happy for a mobile PoN and a desktop PoN installation. But with the caveat that if it gets in the way they won't use it :) But they are in favour of on-site tech.
