Just a heads up that there are various things happening at Catalhoyuk (sacking of field staff, bringing in foreign teams, reducing field season length) that might impact on any fieldwork plans for their in the summer. Tom and Angeliki were due to go out with me. At present this is still on but nothing is certain (I always said it was a weird but exciting place...) but I think it is vital that none of our work *depends* on field implementation and observation a Catalhoyuk. We can discuss implications of this on monday. I see no reason the the proposed NLP work cannot continue as planned but it may have to be a self contained case study. News is coming in in bits and bobs so I will try and find out as much as I can.
