I saw your comments. I'll address them on the wiki as soon as I have a chance.
On a very quick note:

Yes, what is on the wiki is in terms of UI, which may (or may not) be different from the "back end"
-- eg on the UI we may want to distinguish between annotation to artefact and annotation to annotation, while they may be represented in the same way in the back-end.

Yes, that's my main concern at this stage..
