Last October, I switched from registering ECS addresses to
registering university addresses as usernames in both the VMware and
DreamSpark stores (which are totally separate, just provided by the
same company).<br>
<br>
Most of the old ECS addresses still work there, but from now on
people should use their university addresses for these sites. When I
bulk registered everyone with their university addresses last
October, both stores will have sent everyone emails about it,
detailing their exact username for each store. But I know no one
ever reads those. :-)<br>
<br>
The VMware licences you get from their store are valid for 365 days.
At the end of each year you simply go back to the store, "buy" the
latest version and get another 365 days of licence.<br>
