Folks,<br>
<br>
You can now get your paws on Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac.<br>
Compatibility with the PC version has improved quite a bit. All the
nice menus are all still there.<br>
<br>
There are 2 different versions available.<br>
<br>
1. The "Standard" version (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as far
as I know) which you can install on any University-owned machine. It
does not require any licence code or activation key, download it
from here:<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.software.ecs.soton.ac.uk/Staff%20%26%20PGR/Microsoft/mac/">http://www.software.ecs.soton.ac.uk/Staff%20%26%20PGR/Microsoft/mac/</a><br>
<br>
2. The "Professional Plus" (also contains OneNote) which you can
install on your *own* machines, including home computers. This will
activate itself. You should start here, login with your iSolutions
username/password and then click on the words "Office 365" at the
top:<br>

<br>
<b>BIG NOTE:</b> This will not touch your installation of Office
2011 or any other previous version. If you want to remove 2011, I
*strongly* recommend you do so BEFORE installing 2016, as the
removal process is completely manual and much more difficult if both
versions are present. Microsoft's list of steps are here:<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2398768">https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2398768</a><br>
<br>
If you still have Office 2008 installed, then I would remove that
first too. The steps are here:<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2500821">https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2500821</a><br>
