[OSX-Users] searching Apple mail on Mac??

The thunderbird Lightning plugin is pretty good for accepting meeting
invites and inserting them into my google calendar.
Where Thunderbird is a bit iffy is the old mail search, which I've had
issues with similar to the ones described earlier in Mail.app. I know an
email exists but can't locate it.
Also, it does this very special thing where automatic updates disable
most of your plugins. Almost all of the plugins I used to use couldn't
keep up with the frequency of the updates and get disabled. There's no
warning before you accept the update, and no undo option. Vexxing.
