One thing I found quite telling in that article is this line:
"The philosophy is best understood, he told me, by visualizing the various devices Apple sells on a horizontal plane, like the famous illustration of Darwinian human evolution… Watch, iPhone, iPad, Macbook, iMac”
That looks to me like the writing on the wall for the Mac Pro and the Mac Mini. A shame for folks who liked those machines.
