1 single big place means it's a lot harder to lose stuff. Not that Les 
ever loses anything, of course... ;-)

You can get Dropbox to automatically copy all new photos straight out of 
Photos to Dropbox when you sync your phone. I hate "Photos" too, totally 
opaque.
