I installed yesterday - as julian knows there was a sort of near death experience - but likely the fault on something weird in a previous install, not the el cap thing itself

iStatMenus is ok
don’t know monity - thanks nick
i also find Peak Hour and Little Snitch useful.
and theres something called Surplus that lets you see what you’re down and uploading.

how do you find the macbooK? this is the 12 inch thing? do you use an external display??
