I'm just flagging that I've watched very useful video courses on Lynda that have brought me "up to date" (ahem, only about 15 years to catch up!) on developing for the Mac.

Swift Essential Training: http://www.lynda.com/Swift-tutorials/Swift-Essential-Training/180105-2.html
Yes, it starts from the very simple language basics, but to get through all the Swift weirdnesses (optional variables, unwrapping, let-if etc) it's good to make sure that you progress through step by step. Also, the trainer is so obviously an expert in Mac development as well as training that it's just a pleasure to listen to him.

Cocoa with Swift Essential Training: http://www.lynda.com/Cocoa-tutorials/Cocoa-Swift-Essential-Training/182675-2.html
OK, so I didn't know my xib from my storyboard. This helps to put all the details in place!
