I'm still taking tablets. In theory I could see that "zooming into the big picture" was an interesting presentation metaphor, but I was always too wrapped up in motion sickness to get the benefit.

I few people (outside academia) have mentioned it to me and swear by it.
Basic concept seems to be to replace a linear sequence of slides with the "big picture" that you zoom in and out and around.
I'd be tempted to give it ago, though flicking through some examples, I could image the constant zooming and moving animation could easily give the whole audience a headache if over used.
