Though the "looks like" resolution is the same as the old one, that means you can read documents scaled down much smaller than before, without the window furniture etc. being tiny. I like tiny Window furniture, so I turn the "looks like" res right up.

Because you can read tiny text sizes it's tempting to leave everything as small as you can, which probably does bad things to your eyesight.

Overall I love the retina screens though.
