But it does give you a (big grey) border if you capture a window, which is what I am usually doing.

Basically, moving both my hands to the keyboard to press keys and then moving them back to my mouse and rest is more time, effort and pain than leaving my hand on the mouse and clicking on Grab or Preview and then a menu item to get the same point.
But it is horses for courses.
