Correct, we do not have a site licence for iLife.

Correct, we have site licences for both. They are both available from 
the ECS software server at 
cifs://software.ecs.soton.ac.uk/software/images/apple.

Upgrade to Lion by running the "Install Mac OS X Lion" app. Using the 
ISO image is not a supported method of upgrading, though you should find 
it works. It's much more work, too.
