You should just upgrade to Lion, not do a fresh install. Suggest you 
restore back to Snow Leopard and then just upgrade.

If you get really stuck (you do have a backup, don't you), I might be 
able to find a copy of iLife, but it's not the same version as the one 
you already have so you should have to pay for it again.
