Just tested that for you.
The window expands to fill the same screen it started on, but the other 
screen just becomes a gray textured background that appears to do almost 
nothing. The only thing that I can make work on the grey textured 
monitor is get up my Dashboard widgets.

I can't remember what the behaviour was before, so I don't know if 
that's any improvement at all. :-/
