Just rebuilding my Mac Book Pro from scratch (to hopefully overcome awful slowdown from Lion)
I copied my iPhoto and iPhoto Library from the old machine and it said the Library was damaged.
So I removed the library and ran iPhoto as new. It created a new library. Then I quit. Then I restarted it and it said the new library was damaged.
I removed all the stuff in /Library/Application Support and repeated the above exercise.
I copied versions of iPhoto from other machines and repeated the above exercise.
It always says the library is damaged.
I ran a program to rebuild the library – it thought the library was fine – but said iPhoto itself was unresponsive when I tried to use it. Unfortunately I do not have an iLife 11 install disk. My copy came ready installed on a machine.
Any bright ideas?
/h.
