[OSX-Users] installing Python's matplotlib package on OS X 10.7.3 (Lion)?

hi all

Does anyone have any experience of installing Python's matplotlib package on OS X 10.7.3 (Lion)?

I've done the usual stuff with setting $PYTHONPATH=:$HOME/Library/2.7.1/site-packages:/Library/Python/2.7/site-packages in my .bash_profile , but to no avail.

(sudo easy_install matplotlib is telling me that "REQUIRED DEPENDENCIES    numpy: 1.5.1    * Could not find the headers for numpy.  * You may need to install the development package."  I have numpy 1.5.1 installed and it works fine)
