[OSX-Users] web page support for gestures

At the weekend I was really surprised by abovethecrowd.com because it
emulated iPad app swipey-pokey-touchy interfaces in the Mobile Safari web
browser (you can see it in normal safari if you change the User Agent in the
Develop menu). Perhaps I'm very sheltered, but I hadn't seen an example of
the FLUD/Pulse/FlipBoard interaction happening in a browser.

This seems to be supported by various Jquery-type plugins, but can someone
point me at the most up-to-date example of these JavaScript libraries. I
have a project student whose work would be helped by this!
