You can do a Lion reinstall very easily. Just hold down Alt when you 
power on your Mac.

Boot from the Recovery HD and from there you can do a totally 
non-destructive Lion reinstall.
Or if you want to wipe it and reinstall then run Disk Utility from the 
Recovery HD, reformat the Macintosh HD partition and then reinstall, 
again straight from the Recovery HD.

In case it decides it wants to download Lion to do this, do it while 
connected at work so you have a good fast network, as it may well want 
to download the latest Lion image to reinstall it.

I've done this several times on several Macs and it all works fine.
