[OSX-Users] Re: file vault 2 - any takers?

Files are in encrypted disk images, and passwords are in 1Password (both 256-bit AES). I've never regarded my email as sensitive enough to encrypt, but if I were going to, I would pick one of:

1) FileVault. Cumbersome to set up, and possibly overkill.
2) Encrypted disk image of about 4-8GB containing a copy of Portable Thunderbird. All data is stored in the DMG - mount it when you want to read your mail.
