[OSX-Users] Java heaps on OS X, and how to make them bigger.

Hi all,

Having a problem with a java-based app - NetLogo. It's an agent-based modelling environment (but that's not important right now...) and it's throwing errors at me saying "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space".

The app gets run by opening a .app bundle, though there is also the traditional .../NetLogo.app/Contents/MacOS/NetLogo binary that can be run from the command line. I've been told that there is a way to increase the heap size of a Java app from the command line, but I'm largely a noob when it comes to Java, and so I thought I'd throw the question out to you guys to see if anyone can give me a quick fix.

Cheers in advance!

Chris
